This long-awaited showdown between Cory Sandhagen 14-2 and TJ Dillashaw 17-4 will finally take place, after a postponement due to Dillashaw’s injury and too much promotion of the fight.
There is no doubt that Sandhagen will be looking to knock out Dillashaw, who reigns as bantamweight champion of the world and has scored significant wins over Renan Barao and Cody Garbrandt.
Considered a natural striker, with power combinations and great command of the ground, Dillashaw decided to move down to flyweight, where he failed in his world title attempt against Henry Cejudo after failing an anti-doping test, which cost him a two-year suspension out of the octagon.
Also with great power in his hands, Sandhagen has had a brilliant career in MMA, where he has only lost twice. Sandhagen comes into the bout on the heels of two impressive knockout victories over Marlon Moraes and Frankie Edgar.
